Patient Instruction:

 

Winchester Orthopaedic Associates, Ltd. will contact your insurance company to obtain pre-authorization for an exam. The office will schedule all diagnostic testing, referrals, and epidural steroid injections that were ordered by the physician. The office will then contact the patient via telephone or mail after this has been arranged. This process can take anywhere from 7 to 14 business days or longer.

Occupational Therapy:

Once you receive an order for Occupational Therapy (usually via mail), you will need to contact any Occupational Therapy facility of your choice. You may call either Winchester Rehab Center at
(540) 536-5114 or Outpatient Physical and Occupational Therapy at Winchester Medical Center at 
(540) 536-8095. Confirm that they participate with your insurance and schedule a convenient appointment. If you choose to go outside of Winchester for your Occupational Therapy (OT) you can check with your local hospital to see if they provide this service. Take your white order form with you to your first appointment.

 NOTICE: It is advisable for you to check with your insurance company to ensure that the cost of an exam is covered by your policy. This is not the responsibility of our office. The number to your insurance company is listed on the back of your insurance card.
