Patient Instruction:

 

Winchester Orthopaedic Associates, Ltd. will contact your insurance company to obtain pre-authorization for an exam. The office will schedule all diagnostic testing, referrals, and epidural steroid injections that were ordered by the physician. The office will then contact the patient via telephone or mail after this has been arranged. This process can take anywhere from 7 to 14 business days or longer.

Physical Therapy:

Once you receive an order for Physical Therapy (usually via mail), you will need to contact any Physical Therapy facility of your choice. Confirm that they participate with your insurance and schedule a convenient appointment. Take your white order form to your first appointment. If you have any questions you may contact our office. Local providers are listed in the local area yellow pages under "Physical Therapists." Many local hospitals also provide physical therapy on or near facility grounds.

 NOTICE: It is advisable for you to check with your insurance company to ensure that the cost of an exam is covered by your policy. This is not the responsibility of our office. The number to your insurance company is listed on the back of your insurance card.
