Melissa Jennings, PT, DPT, OCS

MelissaJennings PT-DPT-OCSMelissa is a full-time, physical therapist at WPTSM with specialty certification in Orthopedics (OCS). She received her Bachelor’s degree from James Madison University and is a graduate of Shenandoah University’s Doctorate in Physical Therapy Program (DPT) and University of Virginia/HealthSouth Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency Program. She treats a variety of sports medicine/orthopedic conditions as well as vestibular/vertigo conditions including BPPV and post-concussion syndrome. She has several additional certifications including Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN). In addition to practicing physical therapy, Melissa is an adjunct professor at Shenandoah University and is a member of the Virginia Physical Therapy Association and American Physical Therapy Association.

Greg Humphreys, PT

GregHumphreysGreg graduated from West Virginia University in 1977 with a BS in Physical Therapy. After 1 year as the Director of Physical Therapy at Morgan County War Memorial Hospital in Berkley Springs, West Virginia, he relocated to Winchester, Virginia and opened the first independent outpatient clinic (Medical Circle Physical Therapy) in the area. Outpatient sports medicine services were added and in 1983 and in 1985 Greg co-designed the first aquatic rehabilitation facility in the region as the clinic expanded. With three pools, the facility was able to treat a wide variety of orthopedic conditions from the young injured athlete to the senior recovering from joint replacement. Greg also has several years of experience providing industrial on-site physical therapy to injured employees at large corporations in the region. In the early 90’s the clinic became known as Winchester Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine. In 1992 a second facility was opened in Charles Town, West Virginia which also provided land based and aquatic rehab. along with other conventional physical therapy techniques. Over the years, Greg has attended a wide variety of continuing education courses to update and improve his skills. This along with over 35 years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy allows him to continue to provide the highest level of care for those individuals with orthopedic injuries and diseases. Outside of his physical therapy position, he and his wife enjoy tennis, fitness walking and serving in a variety of roles at their local church. He is presently the Clinical Director at Winchester Orthopedic Physical Therapy’s (WOPT) Ranson, West Virginia facility.

Kevin Roy, PT

KevinRoy PTKevin has a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from West Virginia University and has been on staff at WPT&SM since 1988. He is also a clinical instructor for West Virginia University’s Physical Therapy Program and serves as a mentor for Frederick County School’s Gifted Independent Study Program.

Claire Guida, PT

Clarie Guida MPTClaire graduated with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College in 1998. She worked in acute care at Winchester Medical Center for 7 years specializing in post-operative orthopedics and wound care. Her professional focus has been manual therapy, in which she is working towards certification. She enjoys the wide range and variety of outpatient orthopedics. Claire is an avid runner, having completed a marathon and 5 half-marathons. She is also a fair weather cyclist.

Nathan Wells, DPT

NathanWellsNathan is from Romney, WV and attended West Virginia University graduating with honors with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology. Nathan then attended Physical therapy school at WVU and graduated in 2015. He was class treasurer and received the Outstanding Student Clinician Award from his class. Through school he gained experience in many different settings including: Acute care hospitals, skilled nursing homes, and several outpatient clinics. However, he found that outpatient orthopedics is his passion. In Nathan’s spare time he likes to hunt, fish, maintain an active lifestyle, and spend time with his friends and family.

Denise Mitchell, DPT

Denise MitchellDenise graduated from Shenandoah University with her Bachelor’s in Kinesiology- Exercise Science in May 2012, followed by her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in August 2015. As a former collegiate athlete, she developed a passion for working with athletic and orthopedic populations. She enjoys running and outdoor sports, especially softball of which she is an Assistant Coach for her alma mater.

Crystal Spaid, PTA

Crystal Spaid PTACrystal graduated with an Associates of Applied Science in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at Allegany College of Maryland and has been a PTA with Winchester Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine since graduating in 2002. She currently works in the Winchester office.

Courtni Williams, PTA

Courtni is from Jefferson County, West Virginia, and attended Shepherd University obtaining a degree in Fitness and Exercise Science. She then attended Blue Ridge Community & Technical College graduating with her Associate’s Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. As a former college athlete, Courtni is very much a sports enthusiast. In her spare time she loves being outdoors and attending local sporting events.

Jessie Nicholson, PTA

JessieNicholsonJessie graduated from BlueRidge Community and Technical College with her Associates in Applied Science. She’s had experience with sports injuries, home health, and geriatrics. Her interests are working with athletes, aquatics, and massage therapy. In her spare time she likes to sing in local cafes around her home town as well as hike, swim, and camp around Harpers Ferry, WV.

Tiffany Feathers, PTA

Tiffany FeathersTiffany Feathers is a resident of Clearbrook VA. She received a Bachelor’s in Communication Studies at JMU. She then completed the Physical Therapist Assistant degree at Blue Ridge CTC. Through school she gained experience in different settings for PT, including inpatient, outpatient, and pediatrics. In her free time she loves camping, kayaking, hiking, snowboarding, swimming, and being with friends and family.
