Dr. Max Lingamfelter is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in adult hip and knee reconstruction (total joint surgery). He attained additional training through a prestigious joint reconstruction fellowship while at the University of Minnesota and is the first fellowship trained total joint surgeon to the Winchester area. This training involves the most up to date and advanced skills in primary joint replacement surgery, such as partial knee replacement (Uni and Patellofemoral replacements), direct anterior hip replacement and robotic assisted total joint reconstruction. Additionally, he provides care for patients with the most complex and challenging total joint problems: post-traumatic arthritis, prior reconstructions, prior deformity, infections, fractures, and aseptic loosening.
During his orthopedic surgical residency, Rowan University – Inspira Health Network, he gained extensive experience working alongside surgeons from the renowned Rothman Orthopaedic Institute. He received his doctorate from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth Texas. During his undergraduate studies at the University of Houston, he received the distinction of Cum Laude with honors in major for his research contributions in the field of Biomedical Engineering.
Dr. Max (as he is known in the clinic) has published several papers and given many lectures on the most up to date techniques in joint replacement surgery. He is very happy and working closely with Valley Health Network to bring these concepts to his patient’s care in Winchester beginning September 2021. Dr. Max has worked with Valley Health to bring Robotic-assisted Total Joint surgery to the Winchester community. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, wood working, playing music and exercising.
