Michelle Smith OT, CHT — Occupational Therapist
Biography
Michelle is originally from San Antonio, Texas. She has lived in the Winchester area for the past 20 years. Prior to moving to Winchester, she and her husband were in the U.S. Navy. While serving, she worked as a Hospital Corpsman which provided her the opportunity to work in the Outpatient Occupational Therapy Department at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. After being discharged from the Navy, Michelle obtained her Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from Shenandoah University. She worked in the acute care setting for about 10 years as an Occupational Therapist and then transitioned to an Outpatient setting. In November, 2021, Michelle became a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT). She enjoys helping people overcome upper extremity injuries so that each individual is able to live their life to the fullest.
In her spare time, Michelle enjoys spending time with family and playing disc golf.
