Biography
Shelby Gibson PT, DPT, joined WOA as a physical therapist in December 2020. Prior to this, she practiced 2 years of outpatient orthopaedics in Martinsburg, WV. She specializes in upper extremity dysfunction, promoting functional movement patterns and treating general orthopaedic related injuries. Shelby has a love for the geriatric population but also enjoys treating athletes as she was a softball player and competitive cheerleader growing up. Shelby received her Bachelor of Health Science at James Madison University in 2015. She then received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Shenandoah University in 2018. She is certified in trigger point dry needling and implements this into her practice regularly. She is planning to obtain her certification in orthopaedic manual therapy in the near future.
Shelby was born in Dover, DE but spent most of her childhood in Purcellville, VA. She currently resides in Winchester, VA with her fiancé who is also a physical therapist.
